Each chair on this website has been designed to suit particular operational and individual requirements. To help you choose the right chair, look at the symbols on each page and beside individual products. These symbols are designed to show you the functions and suitability of each product. This page provides all the information that you require to help you choose the right chair for you.
Usage
The number of hours a day for which a product should be used is shown as:
= can be used in 24 hour environments, ideal for call centres, control rooms and other demanding locations
= can be used up to 12 hours a day, ideal for more severe working conditions
= can be used up to 8 hours a day, ideal for normal office requirements
= can be used for up to 5 hours, ideal for occasional use
Dimensions

Mechanisms
There are a variety of mechanisms available on the website. To aid you in deciding which mechanism is suitable for your use, we have simplified this information by using small line drawings. These icons denote the operation of the chair and are shown next to each product
Weight usage
All height adjustable models have gas lifts that are rated to the equivalent of 22 stones (140kg). Provided that the usage guidelines are adhered to (see above) the chairs are also guaranteed to this weight limit.
Fire retardancy
The following icons are used to indicate the level of fire retardancy relevant for the standard fabric and foam of each item. The level of fire retardancy achieved dictates the environment in which the products can be safely used.
The standard fabric and foam has been tested to BS 7176 Medium Hazard. These products are suitable for use in office, public places and government departments, educational establishments, hospitals, hostels and the home.
The standard fabric and foam has been tested to BS 7176 Low Hazard. These products are suitable for use in offices, public places and all other environments where Medium Hazard has not been specified.
The standard fabric and foam has been tested to BS 5852 0 (cigarette) and 1 (match). These products are suitable for use in office environments.
Guarantee
All products carry a 5-year component guarantee and a 2-year upholstery guarantee.
